I made chicken pot pie for the first time ever tonight. The recipe I used was Rachel Ray's. It was pretty good but I think I'll leave out the shrooms and parsnips (blech) next time.

Chicken pot pie is one of my favorites things to eat. I normally just put peas, onions,
and carrots in mine.
This looks soooo delicious!!!
Yeah, I think RR was getting fancy adding parsnips.
Did you use parsnips or rutabaga (Swedish parsnip)? Because swedes taste so much better. I'm not a fan of parsnips but I do love swedes.
They were parsnips. I've never had swedes before.
I'm sleeping, sorry. I meant Swedish turnip. Not parsnip. Anyway, they're all root vegetables and I find that swedes are the best. You should try them next time.

Oooh that looks delicious. I would love to try my hand at making a chicken pot pie but it is so much work and I doubt mine would taste any better than the Marie Callender frozen microwave ones.
I love pot pie! That looks really good. I printed the recipe so I can make it.
That last comment was mine. I wasn't signed in.
I just LOVE Chicken Pot Pie. I just made some myself early last week, but your crust looks so much nicer. Delish!
Chicken Pot Pie was always a comfort food for me when I was younger! This looks delish!
Nice David Cross reference!
And YUM!
If you use store bought puff pastry for the crust like I did (cheater), it's not all that time consuming.
Looks awesome!
I LOVE chicken pot pie, but Jackson thinks anything in a pie that isn't fruit is weird so I rarely make it.
I usually make mine with carrots, potatoes, and peas.
I made this two nights ago. It was pretty good. I will definitely make it again. I left out the mushrooms , parsnips and peas. I don't like peas. As we were eating, Ethan said he thought peas were supposed to be in pot pie. Next time I will add the peas just for him.
I have the best chicken pot pie recipe. It came from my grandmother and I'm not lying when I say I've never met a soul that didn't just like my chicken pot pie, but flipped for it. Even people
who don't usually like that type of dish. My grandmother found the perfect combination of flavors- it's easily the best thing I make. I've been meaning to post it on here forever- I'll get
around to it eventually, I'm just not ready to let it go out into the universe yet
The crust looks really good.
