We finally got around to painting a blackboard onto one of the dining room walls. As you can see, it's been a huge hit with the kids.
This wall art depicts two trees with heart-shaped apples, a sun wearing sunglasses, birds, giant moles in their mole tunnels, flowers and a squirrel getting bonked in the head with one of the heart-shaped apples.
You just have to accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

I'm not really a fan of Rachel Ray. 30 Minutes Meals only recently started airing in Finland and I have to say the woman grates on my nerves to the point that I end up muting the TV most of the time. It's a combination of the voice and the ridiculous made up words. Stoup? Having said that, I have to admit the recipes that I have tried have turned out really well. Most importantly, they are dead easy.
Last night was the second time I made her Tacozagna. The first time I used ground chicken and it was pretty flavorless. This time I used ground sirloin and added sweet corn and avacodos as toppings. It was really, really good. Dare I say YUM-O.
I picked up a loaf of freshly baked walnut bread from the village bakery this morning. Man, is this stuff good. Must. Not. Devour. Entire. Loaf.
